Storeroom Manager

Exclusive Adventure Company Escape+Explore are looking for a Storeroom Manager to join our in-office operations team. You will be joining the forefront of African Adventure travel in helping to maintain and develop our unique brand of touring out of our HQ on the Cape Peninsula located in the Noordhoek Farm Village.

The role will involve working directly with our Operations Manager ensuring the operational product meets and exceeds the exceptionally high standards of our unique brand of touring.

A background in Operations management and the Adventure travel industry is essential in order to understand the needs and demands of clients and to ensure that the guides who you will be working with receive a 5* service from us.

Key Responsibilities:
- Store Room Management: This will include the day to day running of our growing
store room. You will be responsible for accurate stock taking and the ordering of
consumables and hardware. Our vehicles which are used on tour are packed and
presented as though they are 5* hotel rooms, so organisation and an eye for detail
are exceptionally important. Constantly looking for ways to upgrade and improve
our “on-board” offering.

- Training: Growth and continued development are important to Escape+Explore.
Part of this role will be ensuring that our Store Manager and Assistants are
constantly improving their own knowledge and ability through inhouse and external
training initiatives. It is your responsibility to ensure all our operations staff are
competent at using our current and new systems.

- Relationship Management: Our guides and suppliers are crucial to the successful
execution of our tours. It is therefore imperative that you are able to build and
maintain good relationships with both as you will be working directly with them.

- Systems: Our Store Room is run on Humble Till, a user friendly, cloud based stock
and inventory management system. Computer efficiency and understanding is
critical to this role.

Ideal applicants need:
● 2-3 years experience within the travel market
● Drivers Licence
● Own Transport
● An in-depth knowledge of Cape Town and it’s surrounds
● Computer literate (Microsoft word, excel)
● Attention to detail and organisational skills
● Problem solver
● Outgoing
● Confident
● Creative
● Aspire to be active and adventurous
● Work hard play hard ethos!
● Willingness to learn the ins and out of both the adventure touring industry as well as what makes the Cape so special

Hours required:
- 9 hours a day
- Flexible shifts dependant on the touring schedule.
- Overtime applicable
- 2 days off per week (flexibility essential)

Basic salary:
R7 000.00 - 15 000.00 a month dependent on experience.
