Overview
Nestled on an island in the Makgadikgadi, Camp Kalahari is a fun and affordable way to explore the Kalahari. The camp is traditionally furnished and the 10 green canvas tents have colonial style beds and outdoor bathrooms. The mess tent is thatched and the funky furniture is an eclectic combination of antiques and finds from all over Africa. The highlight of a stay at Camp Kalahari has to be meeting the colony of meerkats. If you sit very still they will climb up onto you and use your head as a viewing platform to look for predators. In the wet season the area comes to life as the rains bring southern Africa's largest migration of wildebeest and zebras. In the dry season explore the salt pans on low impact quad bikes. Who knew the desert could be this much fun!

About our Rates: These prices are a guideline and we will confirm the exact price at the time of booking.
Our prices are lower than booking direct as we have negotiated special rates with all the properties we use. It is always worth contacting us for up to date prices as we often run special offers not shown on the website or have further discounts when you combine one or more properties in an itinerary.
As well as a lower rate you also benefit from being able to pay in a choice of currencies and have the security of booking with a fully ATOL and TOPPS bonded travel company.
