Although a little bigger than the hotels we tend to favour it’s impossible not to include. The hotel occupies one of the best positions in Calafate high up on the cliffs overlooking Lago Argentino and the mountains. It is modern, stylish and comfortable and the junior and luxury suites all make the most of the spectacular views. There is an excellent indoor pool and spa and the communal areas are relaxed, sociable and funky.  Design Suites have broken the mould of the lodge style accommodation most properties in Calafate seem to favour and it stands out as one of the best places to stay in town as a result. Shuttle bus into town (along the old runway!) every 30 minutes.
