The Gurda is a lovely little 7 room boutique hotel in a quieter cobbled street in the heart of  colourful, characterful San Telmo right opposite a park. The Gurda is in a light and airy converted town house with two inside patios with the bedrooms leading off them. Each room is themed, demonstrating the flavours, characteristics, colours and regions of Argentina: Tango, San Telmo, Malbec, Sur, Hipica, Borges and Patagonia. Exquisitely and thoughtfully designed the suite is the most private with Jacuzzi bath in the bedroom and the San Telmo room has a mezzanine floor. The staff are super friendly and informal, they have lots of information on their front desk and are eager to help. It’s locally owned and the owners are very hands on. There’s a nice little bar and restaurant open for lunch, facing the park, it’s a lovely place to sit and enjoy coffee and breakfast before hitting the sites of Buenos Aires.
